My background and experience

I’m a leadership coach, facilitator and trainer with over 25 years’ experience working across public and third sector organisations – including in social care, early years, regulation and higher education.

I’ve held senior roles in both strategic and operational settings, led national initiatives, and developed new services and partnerships that have made a lasting impact.

What connects all of my work is a deep belief in people – their capacity to grow, adapt and thrive – even in the most complex systems and challenging circumstances.

I began coaching in 2012, working as an internal coach for The Open University alongside my strategic role leading widening participation and partnerships. I set up my coaching and consultancy business in 2019 and now work across the UK with individuals, teams and organisations – often in children’s services, education, the NHS, and other public service sectors.

I work with leaders at all levels, from those new in role to experienced senior executives. I also have a particular interest and experience in working with neurodivergent clients, and I bring my own lived experience of being dyslexic into that space.

My facilitation and training work complements and strengthens my coaching. I regularly design and deliver leadership development programmes, coaching skills workshops, and team development sessions. I’ve helped to shape and deliver bespoke programmes for aspiring assistant directors, corporate leaders, and cross-sector teams navigating complexity and change.

Whether I’m working 1:1 or with a group, my approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and rooted in trust, curiosity and emotional intelligence.

I’m committed to creating safe and reflective spaces where people can pause, think deeply, connect honestly, and build the skills and confidence to lead with authenticity.

I regularly use metaphor, storytelling, visuals, Lego and constellation activities to unlock fresh thinking. I also draw on models such as Transactional Analysis, Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment and Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability and courage.

Alongside my independent work, I’m proud to work as an associate for several respected organisations including The Staff College, West Midlands Employers, Know You More, Solace and Advance HE. These partnerships keep me connected to diverse leadership landscapes and help me bring cross-sector insights into my work.

When I'm not working

I live with my husband on the English–Welsh border in Shropshire, where we also run a small B&B, keep chickens and often have a retired Guide Dog staying too.

I love walking in nature, yoga, and dancing – and I value stillness and mindful moments to stay grounded and balanced.

I’ve reached a stage in life where I feel more at ease in my own skin – that hasn’t always been the case, and like anything worthwhile, it takes ongoing practice to maintain!
